Life | 12 Amazon Products to Help You Survive Winter

It's not even Halloween yet and the temp in North Texas has already hit the LOW 30's. I'm not ready for this. I pulled out my dresses during the move thinking I still had at least a month of summer weather! But instead I'm cursing Texas for having such annoyingly cold weather. I moved to Florida in my 20's for a reason; I absolutely hate cold weather. HATE it. As someone with anemia and eczema I'm constantly wondering why I thought moving here was a good idea in the first place.

So here I am, on the hunt for all things cozy because I feel like I'm going to freeze to death if I don't.

I'm super picky with my Winter clothing (I did grow up in Northern California), I want something warm but isn't stuffy and isn't waterproof because I feel like it tends to suffocate me. I know, strange. But something I don't have to layer would be awesome.

Okay, I love boots. They're my weakness and yes, I tend to wear them year round! I'm such a sucker for cozy fashion boots the most! The pair on the left can be pulled up or folded down and that really changes things! The ones on the right is probably in my cart as we speak. I could live in those honestly!

I live for long sleeves of this type of material. The only problem is as someone who gets super cold easy these don't keep me warm. So I'll either pair it with a thermal underneath or a hoodie over.

I love Sherpa sweaters! They sort of mess with my eczema but oh my goodness they're SO WARM and cozy!! I also love oversized sweaters but honestly, who doesn't. It's just a matter of finding the right one for you. But anything loose and baggy? I'm here for!

Let's face it, half the time I don't even want to get out of bed depending on how cold it is. I surely did not want to get out of bed this morning but it makes it hard when you have a toddler who apparently isn't phased by temperature lol.

Growing up in NorCal and being just as obsessed with blogging and web design in high school, my cousin and I would crank up one of those white square space heaters while I did my work and he flipped through magazines or whatever. But then, the power would go out lmao. So we'd have to run down stairs to the power box, reset the switches and run back upstairs. But we'd always choose not to turn the heater on again and just bundle up in fleece throws we could find around the house. This happened almost every day by the way lmao.

I'm a sucker for thows and blankets because of this. I have blankets everywhere, it's a problem. But honestly nothing is better than snuggling under a fluffy warm blanket when it's like 30⁰ outside! I'm heavily debating on getting that white one on the right!

If my OCD would let me, I'd love a fluffy rug in my apartment. But because of germaphobe OCD it's a hard no. But man that looks like it would feel amazing under your feet! I love throw pillows but I hate having throw pillows. I love the look of these though and I feel they'd match that rug super nicely! Both products look like heaven to cuddle in!

House slippers are also a weakness, I feel like I can never have too many house slippers. Seriously. Now that is a super problem. But the more fuzzy the inside, the better! I esp like the ones with patterns like the two linked above! I actually have the one on the right in my cart right now!

If you know me you'd know I'm all about ambience and aesthetics. Cold days are my perfect excuse to buy and pull out all the cute marble/rose gold (even though I already do, I feel like it has an extra umph paired with cold weather + Christmas decor)!

Colder weather also means shorter days and one of my favorite things during this time of the year is fairy lights.

Geez Amazon, your photo quality is like, not it.

These are two I'm considering for the office; I've always wanted the one on the left but since I live so far from family and friends I wouldn't have much to hang up as far as that goes. However, I have considered using it as a type of vision board to remind me of my goals and end game!

The one on the right is something I'd thought of draping behind the bed. I don't have art up there yet and I have no idea what to put (I feel like it's super important too) but I would love to have a curtain of fairy lights back there. Esp because I don't like sleeping in the dark

I love Salt Lamps; I've had a few over the years and I can't tell if what they claim to do works but I do know the warm glow definitely calms me!

The moon lamp is something I've been eyeing for awhile now; I love anything having to do with space and astrology. I recently got a novelty lamp for review (mostly for the kiddo) so I've been holding off on getting this one. But I definitely think it would be the perfect room addition for Winter!

These are two things I currently have in my new room and I am SO IN LOVE WITH! My dad had given me an Amazon Echo a year before he passed and she's been a help, esp when I'm home on Sunday's doing chores.

I knew I wanted one in every room when we moved, I got the Echo Show for the bedroom, I literally can't express just how cool this thing is!! IT PLAYS MOVIES. Yes. Right there. On my nightstand. I haven't tried the video calling feature yet but I definitely use it to play music when I'm in the bath (yes she hears me from there), or when I'm folding laundry. To set alarms. To play random songs that pop in my head at 3am. You know, the adult stuff.

I have a habit of never sleeping with the light off so I've blown out a few over head lights in the apt's I've lived in. Because of this I told myself to get a damn floor lamp. I had one but the movers from FL to TX "lost it". I chose this one because of the shelves. I love the look of this, not to mention that the lamp shade is so cute.

I hate how I can't format my own photos the way I want on Blogger anymore lol! I used the floor lamp as my "zen corner"; I replaced the Reed Diffusers (confused as to how they work really) with a wax warmer. The Salt Lamp is still there and I have a cute pumpkin candle in front. When the season changers I'll replace it with something else, though I'm not really sure with what just yet. But I'm sure happy with how it turned out! The second shelf just has a dish with my earrings in it and the last shelf doesn't have anything just yet. I can't wait to see how this will turn out once I'm done!

I have such a love/hate relationship with Winter. I hate the cold but I love the vibe of it all. I've never seen snow and even in the 4 years I've lived here in TX I still have yet to see snow. Apparently it snowed last year at freakin 8am so I slept right through it. Maybe whenever Covid is solved I'll head to the snow somewhere!

Wishing you all cozy vibes!
