I love discovering new eats everywhere. When I say food is my passion I mean I'm literally thinking about food 25/8. Discovering new eats in new places is one of my favorite things to do. So when I moved to Texas it was a world of new foods just waiting to be discovered (photographed and written about by me)!

I didn't realize how big Texas was. Or how big Dallas was. Or even Fort Worth. Fort Worth I swear spans like 17 different cities, it's crazy. Like you're in another city but it's a city IN Fort Worth?? I don't even know tbh.

Over the years I've discovered a few places in Dallas that I keep coming back to because I just love these places so much! And there's a beauty in exploring your city!

Kate Weiser Chocolates

I don't remember how I stumbled on this; I just know I wanted to visit it! I love chocolate shops. I have a few favs from Tampa but I don't remember their names now. Wish I did! Kate ironically went to the same culinary school I went to! It's amazing to see what people did with their experience in culinary school.

Kate Weiser has 3 locations in the DFW area, unfortunately because of Covid the other 2 locations are closed and the only one open is the main one in Dallas' Trinity Grove.

My husband and I frequent Kate's and have a few favorites of our own.

His includes Cookie Monster and Coconut. Mine include Raspberry, Coconut and Salted Caramel. I'm a sucker for anything with pate de fruit honestly and they make the most luxurious truffles in the DFW area!

Bisous Bisous Patisserie

Bisous is a French Patisserie located in Uptown Dallas. It's sort of tucked away so it's a little hard to find if you're headed there for the first time. The shop is a little small and has limited seating outside but it is absolutely adorable!

Bisous has some of the best macarons I've ever tried and between living in 3 states, I've tried a lot of places. Their seasonal flavors are always fun to try and they come up with some really cute designs for them.

Another one of my favs from there is their Opera Cake!

We also got Tums' first birthday number cake from there (and her half birthday cakes)!

Edith's French Bistro

I know, I seem to like French food. Which is true. And lucky for me Dallas has a lot of different options! I stumbled on this place on Instagram and fell in love with their dishes!

I'm so sad the location in Dallas recently closed down but they opened up another one in Plano! I always start with the French Onion Soup (which is PERFECT) and my husband gets the sliders. I usually get the Mac & Cheese with Shrimp and Asparagus and it's SO good! Not heavy at all. My husband has gotten a few different dishes but one that I really liked was the Chicken & Croissant! The sauce they drizzle on top is addicting. Literally. And the chicken is the perfect kind of crispy. I'm hungry just thinking about it!

There's a bunch of other places I've tried in Dallas; but these are the 3 I frequent and absolutely love!

Do you like French food? What's your favorite place to eat in your city?
