I discovered Honey Soda Co about 2 years ago. We connected on IG and I was drawn to their Disney inspired scents. It's always so interesting and fun to see how you relate with people on a social media app, especially when it comes to things you're passionate about. In my case it's candles/wax melts and Disney.
So for the last 3 holidays my apartment has been filled with Honey Soda Co wax melt scents and it's quickly become one of my favorite holiday traditions! Move over Bath & Body Works, foreal.
Honey Soda Co features seasonal scents in fun holiday shapes as well as in classic clamshells and more recently added jar candles to their product list.
This year these are the scents I picked up; I already melted through one of my Peppermint Mocha candy cane melts and I'm half way done with the Peppermint Mocha clamshell (it's clearly my favorite holiday scent from their line).
I'm excited to try the gingerbread scents next; I've been on a bit of a gingerbread kick this year. I love how festive these look! I just wish I had a better way to display and store shaped wax melts. I love that these are much easier to break, I've come across some that I literally need to take a butter knife to in order to get them to break lol.
Honey Soda Co is currently closed for December but they're planning on opening back up in January. I suggest following their Instagram for updates!
These wax melts will not disappoint!
What's your favorite indie wax melt company?
It’s crazy to think we’re almost at the end of the year. Or that the last time I blogged was in June. Things have been crazy the last few months — but in a really good way!
Over the years I’ve attempted many shop and business ideas; some that I still miss and hope to incorporate into the business I decided to start this year.
And over the years this blog has seen me change and grow and deal with some pretty hard and tough things. And I really hope to continue to document my journey for a long time here.
In 2015 I wanted to start a candle Etsy business. I had set up all the social media for it but I was in a place where the person I was around didn’t exactly encourage my dream of opening a shop — stating that it would be “a waste of money” (wish I could tell him how successful my current shop is now). So I tucked that dream away until pretty much April of 2021.
I honestly don't remember if I stumbled on this indie wax company on Instagram or on Etsy. I know I was looking for wax melt bars. As much as I love themed shaped wax, it gets hard to slice into the pieces you want and without ruining the whole thing! I try to be super careful but sometimes I still end up messing up the whole block of wax!
I ordered a few things from Pumpkin Seed Wax, it was so hard to choose from but I managed to narrow my list down!
I of course had to grab Wicked; not sure if it was named after the musical or just named that but either way, I'm a sucker for the word Wicked as much as I'm a sucker for the word Autumn!
So far I've only melted Tricks or Treats and it literally smells like a S'mores minus the graham crackers. It just reminds me of milk chocolate and marshmallows. It's such a nice, warm and comforting scent! As much as I hate to admit it, I'm a sucker for chocolate scents. Even if chocolate isn't my favorite type of candy! I seriously almost wanted to bite in this one.
I'm excited to try the others, just wish I had a wax cutter or something lol!
